BA/MA Development of a machine concept for the EHLA3D
In cooperation with the Chair of Laser Technology at RWTH LLT, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT, a leading center for contract research and development in the field of laser technology, is offering the opportunity to write a thesis.
The Laser Material Deposition (LMD) department at Fraunhofer ILT works in close cooperation with partners from industry and research on the development of process and system technology for laser metal deposition. One new development is extreme high-speed laser cladding for additive manufacturing (EHLA3D), which increases the process speeds of conventional LMD by up to a factor of 100. Further machine concepts are required to establish the technology in various industrial application areas.
