Bachelor-/ Master Thesis: »Further development of a new recycling process for plastic composites«
At the Fraunhofer IPT in Aachen, we work with more than 530 employees every day to make the production of the future more digital, more flexible and more sustainable. In the department »fiber composite technology«, we deal with the process and machine development for technical products made from fiber reinforced plastics. Within the scope of your thesis, you will investigate solutions for the start procedure of our recycling process for thermoplastic composites. The process allows regaining the valuable carbon fiber tape in good shape, preserving over 90% of its mechanical performance. Depending on the creation of a bachelor or master thesis the exact scope of your thesis may vary. Here you partly work on your tasks on site in our institute / in our machine park.
