Bachelor-/ Master Thesis: »Optimization of an OCT System for Optical Component Characterization«
At the Fraunhofer IPT in Aachen, we work with more than 530 employees every day to make the production of the future more digital, more flexible and more sustainable. In the department »Production metrology«, we deal with the development of advanced measurement systems for diverse applications in production and life sciences. Within the scope of your thesis, you will investigate and enhance the performance of an existing optical system (Optical Coherence Tomography OCT) for the precise characterization of optical components. You will have access to our state-of-the-art metrology laboratories, equipped with high-end commercial systems, optical simulation tools, CAD software, and a wide range of components for hands-on experimentation.
