Bachelor-/ Master Thesis: Optimization of CAM Planning for Efficient Milling with Barrel Tools
The »High-Performance Cutting« department develops technologies and application-oriented solutions for cutting along the entire process chain - from process design and pre-process simulation to real-time data acquisition during production, consulting, and prototype manufacturing. As part of your thesis, you will investigate how forces during the milling of thin-walled workpieces with barrel tools can be reliably predicted and compensated to ensure efficient CAM planning. This will include machining trials, data acquisition and analysis.
