Student assistant (f/m/d) for internal knowledge management - Laser Material Deposition

The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT is a leading center for contract research and development in the field of laser technology. In cooperation with stakeholders from industry and science, the Laser Material Deposition (LMD) department is dedicated to the further development of metal-supported additive manufacturing (AM) processes. One example of this is the EHLA process (extreme high-speed laser cladding) created at the ILT, which is increasingly being used in industry and has enormous potential as a pioneering method.

For the successful implementation of innovative research projects, the acquisition, storage and transfer of acquired knowledge is of great importance. We are looking for a committed student assistant to develop and expand our internal knowledge management in the field of LMD and EHLA.

 

What you will do

  • Helping to shape internal knowledge management, e.g. by setting up and maintaining the internal wiki website
  • Graphic and content design of documents (e.g. presentations and posters) for workshops, training courses, conferences or project meetings
  • Production of photos and video recordings for the external presentation of research results
  • Support with organizational activities (e.g. procurement)
  • Literature and patent research

 

 

What you bring to the table

  • You are studying industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, technical communication, communication/media studies or humanities
  • You work reliably, systematically and self-organized and have a high degree of initiative
  • You have a high level of technical interest and can quickly familiarize yourself with new issues 
  • You are creative and have a sense of aesthetics
  • Confident with MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
  • Experience with image and video editing is desirable

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.
The weekly working time is 12 hours.
The position is initially limited to 6 months, after which a longer term is also possible.
