Student assistant (f/m/d) in the field of printed electronics

The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT is Europe's leading centre for contract research and development in the field of laser technology. 

The Thin Film Processing group is involved in the development of new manufacturing processes for printed electronics, among other things. One focus of our work is the development of an integrated, laser-based process for the production, quality control and post-processing of printed sensor technology, which is playing an increasingly important role in the context of the ongoing digitalisation and monitoring of components. In addition to the laser process itself, the 3D printing of conductive structures using various digital printing processes is also dealt with in our laboratories.

 

 

What you will do

  • Planning, preparation and execution of experiments
  • Analysing samples and documenting the results
  • Support with other laboratory work

 

What you bring to the table

  • You are studying mechanical engineering, materials science, materials engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, physics or a related degree programme
  • Interest in technical problems as well as a responsible, careful and structured way of working
  • Experience with laboratory work is advantageous, but not essential, as is previous knowledge of laser technology, programming CNC machines, the Python programming language or materials science

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.
The weekly working hours are from 9 to 16 hours and will be agreed individually at the interview.
The position is initially limited to 12 months, a longer term is possible.
