Student Assistant in Bayreuth - Automation of Remanufacturing Processes

This job offer is for a student assistant position at Fraunhofer IPA in Bayreuth in the automation of remanufacturing processes. Fraunhofer IPA in Bayreuth is looking for a candidate with experience in image processing and programming, specifically in Python. The successful candidate will work on scientific publications and research activities, assist with technical equipment and programming, and have the opportunity to develop new skills and write a thesis.

What you will do

Active collaboration on scientific publications and research activities on scientific topics.
Support in the commissioning of technical equipment (Raspberry PI, Cameras etc.)
Assistance with programming (mainly Python) and implementation of machine learning frameworks
(e.g. PyTorch) for classification (e.g. ResNet) and image generation (e.g. GANs)

What you bring to the table

Enthusiasm for image processing and learning systems
Experience in at least one programming language (e.g. Python)
Motivation to learn new topics
Independent, structured way of working and logical thinking skills
