6G Radio Development Engineer

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 800 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.0 billion euros.

Future. Discover. Together.

The "Wireless Communications and Networks" department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications (Heinrich Hertz Institute) conducts research on future wireless communication systems with a focus on 6th generation (6G) mobile communications. As part of the development and standardization of current and future mobile networks, enhancements, optimizations and new features are continuously being introduced. An important and much-discussed aspect of this is the expansion of networks to new frequency ranges. Software-Defined-Radio (SDR) demonstration systems and test beds are to be developed and evaluated to support current research projects on mobile radio in this area. To strengthen our team, we are looking for support in the implementation of current mobile radio standards as well as new concepts and algorithms from current research projects as soon as possible. Become a part of our team and join us on our journey of research and innovation!
