What you bring to the table
Master or PhD degree in Communications/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields Very strong academic background with emphasis on machine learning, communication protocols and LTE/5G PHY layer procedures Experience with HARQ, NR V2X, WIFI and unlicensed access are nice-to-have Strong theoretical understanding and the ability to transfer theoretical knowledge to practical approaches Creative thinking and interest for novel technologies Experience with standardization bodies, especially 3GPP RAN1/RAN2, is an advantage Excellent programming skills, e.g. in C++, or script languages, e.g. Python or Matlab Strong research potential and publication record Good communication skills and teamwork spirit Highly motivated and enthusiastic about future of communications Willingness to travel Excellent spoken and written English

The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is explicitly desired.
The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
