Student Assistant Channel Modelling and Network Planning for 6G

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 800 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.0 billion euros.

Future. Discover. Together.

As a leading research institution based in Berlin, the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute delivers innovations for the digital society of the future and has become a world leader in the field of optical data transmission. Building on many years of experience, its outstanding expertise in the field of optical and wireless communication also enables the development of solutions in closely related fields. Recently, we developed a new point cloud based channel modelling method and started to investigate it in various scenarios for indoor OWC. As next steps, we are working to apply this method to different applications and to extend it to multiple frequencies including WiFi, mmWave and sub-THz frequencies. This dynamic field of research opens up exciting research projects with clear application relevance related to 6G. We offer an interesting scientific environment and insight into industry-related research. Be a part of our team and come on a journey of research and innovation!
