Student Assistant Digital Twins for Optical Networks

The group „Data Analytics and Signal Processing“ (DSP) in the department of Photonic Networks and Systems is looking for a motivated student assistant to contribute to the analysis, design and development of digital twin models for optical communication networks. What you will do
Assist in developing a digital twins for modeling optical transmission systems, including simulation and performance analysis Support data analysis, problem formulation, and solution development for optical communication systems Prepare documentation, reports, presentations, and demonstrations
What you bring to the table
Enrolled Bachelor/Master student (m/f) in the field of electrical engineering, telecommunications engineering or related fields Strong programming skills in Python and MATLAB Solid understanding of digital communication, optical networks, and optical components modeling Fluent in English (verbal and written) Experience of working with lab hardware is a plus Team player with a structured way of working and able to work with little guidance

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
