Student Assistant Experimental Network Technologies
Future. Discover. Together. Natural disasters, blackouts and cyber attacks have led to widespread outages in wired access networks in recent years. This far-reaching impact on optical access networks and the users who depend on them is to be mitigated by the work carried out as part of the FRONT-RUNNER project. The aim of the project is to develop new architectures, technologies and operating concepts that sustainably improve the robustness and resilience of optical access networks. The Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) is developing a framework for the proactive detection of attacks together with an end-to-end ML pipeline for the real-time execution of the developed algorithms. It is working closely with the other partners to integrate their developments into the demonstration in the HHI laboratory. Be a part of our team and come on a journey of research and innovation!
