What you will do
Investigation and development of digital signal processing methods for efficient signal transmission and synchronization in coherent optical communication networks (literature research, modelling, simulations) Laboratory experiments to evaluate the feasibility of planned approaches Exchange with partners from industry and research in the BMBF joint project PONTROSA
What you bring to the table
Enrolled full-time Bachelor's/Master's student in physics, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable field of study Interest in optical communication systems, digital signal processing Ability to work in a team, independently and autonomously Practical experience with simulation software and programming, ideally MATLAB, Python, VPITransmissionMaker Experience with setting up and carrying out laboratory experiments, operating devices such as signal generators, oscilloscopes Fluent in written and spoken English

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
