Student assistant (m/f/d) with focus on Full Stack Development

For over 35 years, the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology in Berlin has stood for excellence in production science. We are dedicated to bridging the gap between science and practice in the field of industrial production and offer application-oriented system solutions for the entire spectrum of industrial tasks – from product development to the production process, maintenance of capital goods, and recycling of products to the design and management of factory operations.

 

 

The department of business process and factory management develops methods, technologies, and tools for the analysis, design, implementation, and operation of processes and their management, particularly for the manufacturing industry. We develop innovations both in large international research consortia and in bilateral collaborations with renowned companies. Our department is characterized by high diversity in terms of age, gender, skills, and professional experience. 

 

What you will do

 

  • As part of a small, agile team of developers, you will further develop existing software solutions in the field of process management
  • You will provide support in the collection of requirements and presentation of functionalities in the context of industry and research projects
  • You will independently develop and implement solutions

 

What you bring to the table

 

  • You are studying one of the following or comparable subjects: Computer Science, Business Informatics or Mathematics, students of other disciplines with relevant experience in software development can also apply
  • You have already gained some experience with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node)
  • You are confident in working with Git / GitLab
  • You bring diligence and reliability, but also commitment and team spirit
  • You have a good command of German and English
  • Initial experience with Yjs is an advantage

The remuneration is based on the overall company agreement for the employment of auxiliary staff.

The position is initially limited to one year.

The monthly working hours are 80 hours.
