Student assistant 5G/6G-Mobile Communication Systems

What you will do

  • Support in setup, operation, and further development of laboratory setups for mobile communication systems, including installation, configuration, and independent operation of these systems
  • Further development and optimization of graphical user interfaces for demonstrators used to visualize measurement results from laboratory setups
  • Transmission and processing of live measurement data from laboratory setups, as well as storage in databases, and live analysis and visual presentation
  • Active participation in innovative projects based on open-source software and gaining practical experience in the development and integration of modern technologies

 

What you bring to the table

  • Full-time studies with good academic performance at a German university or college in the fields of electrical engineering, communications engineering, information technology, computer science, applied mathematics, physics or similar
  • Initial experience with live data processing and databases is advantageous
  • Proficiency in programming with C and Python (especially in the context of open-source software projects)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or similar technologies for developing graphical user interfaces is desirable
  • Interest in data visualization and working with tools like Grafana, as well as openness to exploring and implementing alternative approaches
  • Independent and structured working style, along with a willingness to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.

 

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
