Student assistant in the research field: Simulation of high-rise timber buidings under wind loads
The Fraunhofer Institute for Wood Research, Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institut WKI in Braunschweig is looking for a student assistant as early as possible for the Center for lightweight and environmentally friendly buildings. Sustainability through the use of renewable raw materials has been the focus of the Fraunhofer WKI for more than 75 years. The institute, with locations in Braunschweig, Hannover and Wolfsburg, specializes in process engineering, natural fiber composites, binders and coatings, emission protection, quality assurance of wood products, material and product testing, recycling processes, and the use of organic building materials and wood in construction.
What you will do
Fraunhofer institute for wood research/Fraunhofer WKI, is offering a scientific student employee position on the topic of " effect of wind loads on high-rise and midrise timber buildings" with the following focus: Computational modelling of high-rise timber buildings under wind load using CFD simulations as well as FE simulations
