Senior System Administrator (m/f/d) - Digital Medicine

What you will do

  • You will take responsibility for the further development and optimization of the IT infrastructure (software and hardware).
  • You will work in the day-to-day administration and support of scientific staff in all IT matters across locations, institutions and organizations.
  • You will support our on-premise cluster systems such as the Fraunhofer Edge Cloud and develop them strategically together with the DevOps team.

 

What you bring to the table

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related subject or a comparable qualification.
  • You have sound knowledge in the areas of Linux, Infrastructure as Code (with Ansible, Puppet and Terraform), Storage (iSCSI-SAN, NAS), virtual environments (e.g. VSphere).
  • Initial experience in HashiCorp Stack, Docker, GitLab-CI, Jenkins or Kubernetes is an advantage.
  • You are familiar with the implementation, configuration and operation of virtualized server systems in complex networks.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.

The position is initially limited to 2 years. However, we are aiming for long-term cooperation.

 

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
