The National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE is a research institution of the Fraunhofer Society, with the participation of the Fraunhofer Institutes SIT and IGD as well as the universities TU Darmstadt and Hochschule Darmstadt. What you will do
Many successful attacks on IT systems are based on exploiting vulnerabilities in software. Systematically finding and closing these gaps before any damage can be done is therefore one of the major IT security challenges for the future. We are researching automated methods for the detection and verification of vulnerabilities. Become part of an ambitious team that works on a diverse range of projects, both in research and on behalf of customers, covering a wide range of topics. With us, you can conduct and publish scientific research as well as work on practical real-world issues. With us, research results do not disappear in a drawer but are applied at well-known companies.
What you bring to the table
A university degree in computer science, IT security, or a related discipline Knowledge of IT security / software security Sound programming skills in Java and/or C/C++ are also needed in larger software projects, as are skills in software development and debugging Experience in static and dynamic program analysis (lectures on compiler construction, code analysis, knowledge of assembler, etc.) as well as software engineering are an advantage, but can also be acquired at our company good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken

The weekly working time is 39 hours.
