Student Assistant for Constructing 3D Scanning Systems
The Competence Center for Cultural Heritage Digitization at Fraunhofer IGD develops and applies 3D scanning technologies using photogrammetry and structured light.
These technologies allow 3D reconstruction of cultural heritage and industrial objects.
Depending on object properties and quality requirements different acquisition setups are used.
What you will do
Your task as a member of a team will be to plan, construct and build 3D scanning systems, subassemblies or prototypes, in order to meet the individual requirements of different scanning projects.
This entails getting hands-on experience with 3D scanners, robots and 3D printers.

The monthly working time is 40-80 hours.
