ASIC Physical Designer
At the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS, we work at the highest international level on nanoelectronic, mechanical and optical components and their integration into tiny, "smart" devices and systems. As a Hardware Developer* Backend Digital you will have the opportunity to work in a highly innovative area as part of our dedicated team. You will specify, implement and optimize hardware components of complex SoCs and mixed-signal ASICs for high performance or low power. For this team we are currently looking for a talented and experienced ASIC Physical Designer who would like to support us.
The Data Communication & Computing business unit supplies product-related solutions to application-specific problems for customers in industry and research. These include hardware and software in the areas of optical wireless communication (Li-Fi), battery-free IoT sensor nodes, real-time communication systems, automotive electronics, RISC-V processors and AI algorithms.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position can also be filled on a part-time basis. The position is limited to 2 years. A longer cooperation is aspired.
