Intelligent components can detect and evaluate changes in the environment or in the system itself and adapt to them independently. As a partner of industry, Fraunhofer IIS/EAS develops key technologies for adaptive systems with approximately 110 employees at the Dresden site and offers innovative technologies and robust solutions.

The library supports the employees of Fraunhofer IIS/EAS at the Dresden site in research and project work. In addition to providing literature and information as needed, the library's main tasks include managing, processing, and assuring the quality of digital content by creating sustainable and up-to-date scientific infrastructures.

What you will do

Integration of subject databases, online media and information offerings into both provided search systems and the institute's own intranet.
Identification and evaluation of modern information technologies for integration into the existing information offer
Selection of library software products according to customer-oriented criteria and participation in their conceptual further development for the expansion and optimization of library services
Management, processing and quality assurance of digital content by creating sustainable and up-to-date scientific infrastructures
Data curator: advising on the collection, management and provision of research data available throughout the institute, data control after reporting in the Fordatis research data repository
Preparation of citation statistics and bibliometric analyses

What you bring to the table

A degree in library science, information science, data management, knowledge management, or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of research data, digitization, metadata, search engines, and database systems.
Fluent in written and spoken German and English
Affinity for technology and proactive willingness to learn new topics
Service orientation, structured approach to work and communication skills

The weekly working time is 20 hours. The position is initially limited to 2 years. The position can also be filled by young professionals.
