Developing innovative technology solutions and bringing them to application - that is our goal at the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS. With our expertise in the development of photonic microsystems, related technologies including nanoelectronics and wireless communication solutions, we create - in flexible and interdisciplinary teams - technologies for innovative products in a wide range of markets such as automotive, industrial and aerospace.

What you will do

  • As a working student, student assistant, or intern, you will support interesting projects in our various research areas.

  • As part of a student research project, bachelor’s, diploma, or master’s thesis, you will work on a scientific topic in one of our versatile research projects.

 

Whether in science or administration, your theory will be put to the test in practice with us.

 

What you bring to the table

Scientific area

  • Study in electrical engineering, micro and nanoelectronics, physics, mechanical engineering, information technology, or a related discipline
  • Basic understanding and initial practical experiences in the relevant field
  • Interest in scientific work and willingness to act independently

Administrative area

  • Study in economics, business administration, social sciences, human resource management, media studies, or a related field
  • Initial practical experiences in the relevant area
  • Structured working style, self-responsibility, reliability, and strong communication skills in German and English
