Development Engineer Simulation of mobile communications systems

What you will do

You will be implementing 3GPP specifications and individual V2X use cases within the OMNeT++ simulation framework. You will integrate your simulations into a Docker container. You will also provide graphical evaluations of the simulation results and interpret these to determine how the simulations can be optimized.

 

What you bring to the table

  • A degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, communications technology, information technology or similar
  • subject
  • Good knowledge of the programming and/or scripting languages C++, Python, Shell and/or R
  • Good knowledge of simulation and/or experience with OMNeT++ (also in a V2X context)
  • Expertise in 4G and 5G mobile communications technologies, in particular as regards protocol stacks and system architecture
  • Experience with version control in Git and Linux is a plus

The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position is initially limited to 2 years with the aim to extend it subsequently.
