Postdoctoral Researcher - Machine Learning for Signal Processing
The Fraunhofer IIS »Audio and Media Technologies« division in Erlangen, Germany, has been making its mark on media digitalization for over 30 years, developing pioneering standards such as MP3 and AAC. The latest Fraunhofer IIS technologies open up new acoustic possibilities, with applications in virtual reality, automotive sound systems and mobile telephony, as well as broadcast radio and streaming.

You will become part of a top team that develops new methods for enhancing audio coding formats that are already fantastic. We aim to improve sound, speech and audio coding, transmission, and light field technologies.

We offer you varied and challenging work in an enthusiastic team. You can contribute with your ideas and help design new concepts. Regular training is given, as are flexible, family-friendly work arrangements. You will have a state-of-the-art workstation in a modern, bright 2- to 3-person office.
The position is initially limited to 2 years with the aim to extend it subsequently. The weekly working time is 39 hours. This vacancy is also available on a part-time basis.
