Scientist in the field of fiber lasers
At the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, Systemtechnology and Image Exploitation IOSB we perform fundamental and applied research in the fields of laser technology, photonics, imaging sensor systems, and much more. Our expertise ranges from the physical fundamentals in optics and photonics to data evaluation using AI for various application domains. The position is located in the interdisciplinary department "Laser Technology" at the Ettlingen site, which focuses on research and development of specific photonic materials and components, special laser sources and nonlinear converters, as well as the optimization of laser systems in the NIR, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR ranges for different application fields. The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis. The position is initially limited to 2 years. An extension is being sought.
