Senior Clinical Biomarker Expert (m/f/d)

Are you interested in biomarker research?

We are offering you a responsible position as Senior Clinical Biomarker Expert (m/f/d) in the Biomarker Analysis and Development Department in Hanover, starting as soon as possible – with the prospect of taking over as head of the department.

 

What you will do

  • Development and implementation of application-oriented biomarker research and development services for industrial and public partners in the context of drug and medical device development
  • Research in the field of pulmonary immunology and inflammatory diseases – in particular, expanding the field of research beyond the current focus
  • Planning, coordination, and execution of studies in a GCP-regulated environment
  • Establishment, implementation, and further development of various assay systems in molecular and protein biology as well as biochemistry, including qualification and validation
  • Management of interdisciplinary cooperation projects and consortia
  • Strategic further development of the department

 

What you bring to the table

  • Completed university degree in natural sciences (master's) with completed doctorate
  • Several years of experience in managing a laboratory as a postdoc
  • Proven track record in scientific publications, project management, and team leadership
  • In-depth knowledge of molecular biology, protein biochemistry, and experience with assay validation and structured project reporting
  • Good knowledge of statistics and bioinformatics
  • Experience with biobanking is an advantage
  • Fluent German and English skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in an interdisciplinary environment

  • Remuneration is based on TVöD EG 14 (depending on qualifications).
  • The position is permanent.
  • The weekly working time is 39 hours.
