Master Thesis - Characterization of the mechanical stability properties
The Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT is one of Europe's most modern research institutes for microelectronics and microsystems technology and offers a future-oriented research and production environment for a total of 190 employees and several site partners in Itzehoe with a technology-oriented equipment pool, two clean rooms and approx. 700 m² of laboratory space. As a bridge builder between research and pre-development on the one hand and commercial application on the other, ISIT in Itzehoe is an exciting employer with innovative prospects for the future. The focus of the »MEMS Applications« business unit is on the design, development and manufacture of application-relevant MEMS components and MEMS systems. The »Agglomerated Microsystems« group develops functional microcomponents based on a patented ALD agglomeration process for various applications. Production and partial characterization are also conducted at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Kiel.
We seek a dedicated student interested in material science to join our team and delve into the mechanical stability of 3D agglomerated powder materials and cantilever-based MEMS structures.
