The Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT offers a future-oriented research and production environment for about 190 employees and several site partners in Itzehoe. It has a technology-oriented equipment park, two cleanrooms and about 700 m² of laboratory space. The group of Prof. Dr. Fabian Lofink is looking for a PhD student who wants to work on a doctoral thesis in the field of acoustic simulation with a focus on surface acoustic waves.
Our »MEMS Applications« business unit focuses on the design, development, and fabrication of MEMS components and MEMS systems.
In the group of acoustic systems and micro actuators, our focus is on acoustic microsystems. In this fast-growing field, Fraunhofer ISIT is an international leader in research on novel, highly miniaturized loudspeakers, ultrasound-based microsystems, and surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensors.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
