Bachelor/Master Thesis »Integrating and Optimizing Point Process Texture Basis Functions«
Our Image Processing department has been specialising in traditional and AI-based image processing for over 25 years. We build industrial-grade inspection systems and develop solutions for the recognition, classification and characterisation of images in a wide range of dimensions, wavelengths and resolutions. Background: In computer graphics, accurately modeling and controlling structural elements such as cracks, grains, and dots patterns is essential for creating realistic and detailed virtual environments. Traditional procedural methods provide flexibility but often fall short in capturing complex structural intricacies. This project focuses on enhancing procedural generation by integrating Point Process Texture Basis Functions (PPTBF) with Open Shading Language (OSL).
