Student Assistant for Operations/System integration

As part of the applied research institute Fraunhofer IEE the team of Forecast System 4.0 supports the energy industry in meeting the challenges of the digitalization of the energy transition.

 

What you will do

You will support us in various issues related to the development of AI-based forecasting systems and the support of software and machine learning models throughout their entire lifecycle depending on your interests and experience.

 

What you bring to the table

  • Currently enrolled in computer science, energy informatics or comparable fields of study
  • You have deploying skills, motivation to learn Java development and have heard of Git
  • Interest in cloud technologies like Kubernetes, Rancher or containerization
  • General knowledge in object oriented programming
  • Basic knowledge in UNIX systems and network technology
  • Fluent in English (B2) and/or German (B2) 
  • Very good analytical skills in solving technical problems
  • Initiative and an independent way of working 
  • You enjoy working in a team

The position is initially limited to 6 months. The monthly working time is between 40-80 hours. Remuneration according to the general works agreement for employing assistant staff.
