The availability of resource-efficient and sustainable stationary electricity storage systems is a key pillar for the success of the energy and raw materials transition. One focus of applied research in the “Electrochemical Energy Storage” department is therefore on the new and further development of flow and non-flow battery systems. As part of the advertised internship, both cells and cell stacks will be constructed and tested for their functionality.

 

What you will do

  • Mechanical, electrical and electrochemical testing of functional components
  • Construction and tightness testing of electrochemical cells and stacks
  • Electrochemical testing of electrochemical cells and stacks
  • Documentation and evaluation of measurement results

 

What you bring to the table

  • Studies in mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering or a similar field of study
  • Basic knowledge of electrochemistry
  • Ability to work independently
  • Enjoy contributing your own ideas
