Would you like to transfer your ideas into beneficial and meaningful research? The group Energy Process Technology deals with the transformation of process heat in industry, which accounts for almost one fifth of the German final energy demand. As part of your master's thesis, you will investigate how future scenarios for industrial process heat demand and supply are created and how specific uncertainties are taken into account in these scenarios.


What you will do

  • Literature research for the creation of future scenarios for industrial process heat
  • Comparison and evaluation of the methodology for the creation of future scenarios for industrial process heat
  • Analysis of the uncertainties within the future scenarios
  • If necessary, verification of the theoretical investigation on the basis of real operating examples


If desired, the Master Thesis can also be combined with a previous work as a student assistant. 


What you bring to the table

  • Studies in the field of energy technology, mechanical engineering, process engineering, engineering, mathematics or in a similar field
  • First knowledge in the field of industrial energy requirements
  • Ability to develop and contriubte your own ideas
  • Independent, accurate and scientific way of working
  • High ability to work in a team and fast comprehension skills
