Student Assistant for the operation of pilot plants for resource recovery from wastewater

We develop processes for a more sustainable world and rethink wastewater treatment. In the SUSKULT project, wastewater serves as a resource for vegetable cultivation. For this purpose, membrane-based technologies are operated and investigated on a laboratory and pilot scale. With your work as a student assistant, you can contribute in the future, together with other researchers, to a gradual optimization of the plants and the fertilizer quality.

 

What you will do

  • The maintenance and operation of a pilot plant are part of your daily routine
  • Assistance and execution of experiments and sample analyses (e.g. by means of cuvette tests, titration or UV-Vis) for process characterization
  • Research and evaluation of literature data 
  • The operation of bioreactors will become your specialty

 

What you bring to the table

  • Studies in the field of process engineering, environmental engineering, biology or a comparable direction
  • Interests in the field of water and/or wastewater treatment
  • Ideally first laboratory experience
  • Driving license class B
  • Careful approach to work and enjoy teamwork
  • Good knowledge of German or English

The weekly working time is 8 hours. This position is limited to 12 months.
