The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research units throughout Germany and is a leading applied research organization. Around 32 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.4 billion euros.

As one of 76 institutes and research facilities of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the leading organization for applied research in Europe, we show how to not only master crises, but grow from them. Pushing boundaries. Always trying something new. Not just thinking, but thinking ahead. We turn research into the future.

We want an earth that is worth living on. With our applied research on Circular Economy, Carbon Management, Green Hydrogen and Local Energy Systems, we make concrete contributions to achieving the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Our employees conduct research in the areas of energy, environment, safety, health, communication and mobility.

In the Electrolysis Technology department, we deal with electrochemical processes for the production of green hydrogen or carbon dioxide reduction from carbon dioxide. The testing of such electrochemical processes must be carried out with automated and intrinsically safe test benches due to the high lifetime expectations for such processes. • Integration of data interfaces (analog and digital signals)

  • Programming of measurement and safety protocols in the LabView program

  • Programming of evaluation scripts in the Python programming language

What you bring to the table

  • Studies in mechanical engineering, automation technology, process engineering or electrical engineering
  • Experience in the programming languages LabView and Python, ideally also in C/C++
  • Initial experience in the field of system control programming
  • Good basic understanding of application-oriented programming
  • Initial experience in interface programming of analog and digital signals is desirable

What you can expect

  • As part of a dynamic team, you actively drive sustainable solutions for a resource-efficient future

  • Opportunity to combine your knowledge from your studies with practical experience at the interface between business and science and to integrate your own ideas

  • New Work, diversity and cooperative interaction are important components of our strategic orientation
