Student assistant for Component Production and Cell Construction

The availability of resource-efficient and sustainable stationary electricity storage systems is a key pillar for the success of the energy and raw materials transition. One focus of applied research in the "Electrochemical Energy Storage" department is therefore on the new and further development of flow and non-flow battery systems. The advertised position will involve carrying out design work, manufacturing cell components, building cells, carrying out measurements and evaluating measurement results.


What you will do

  • Design work
  • Production of cell components using CNC milling machines, 3D printers, cutting plotters, laser cutters, laser welding systems, hot presses, etc.
  • Electrochemical and mechanical tests
  • Evaluation, interpretation and written documentation of the results


What you bring to the table

  • Studies in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, energy technology, environmental technology or a similar field
  • Sound understanding of electrochemistry and mechanical engineering
  • Practical experience in technical working environments 
  • An independent way of working
  • Enthusiasm for contributing and implementing your own ideas
