In its role as a coordinator of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Joint Industry-Academic Doctoral Network »AI in Parkinson’s Disease AIPD« the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI is thrilled to announce 14 open PhD student positions at several participating institutions. The AIPD network will train a group of 14 doctoral candidates in an intersectoral, international, and interdisciplinary setting in order to foster the next generation of medical data scientists.

What you will do
|
As a doctoral candidate in medical data science, you will join the AIPD doctoral network, which includes leading institutions and researchers in academia and industry across Europe. You will work on a PhD project of your choice under the direct supervision of an academic and a non-academic researcher. Lab rotations, as well as a competitive training program with a strong focus on transferable skills and competencies, are an integral part of AIPD’s educational concept. What you bring to the table

The specific requirements for each position depend on the particular PhD project. Some projects may require a clear understanding of statistical and mathematical concepts and the underlying data science, while others may require strong programming skills in R, Python, and PyTorch. The exact salary of each PhD student position is defined by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA - https://marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu/) and is to be confirmed upon appointment. The basic gross amount is composed of a living allowance = 3 400 EUR/month (multiplied by a MSCA Country Correction Coefficient) and mobility/family allowance = 600 to 1 260 EUR/month, depending on the family situation. |
This position is available and financed for 36 months.
It is also available on a part-time basis.
