The Network Research group in COOP develops solutions to connect underserved areas in the Global South to the Internet in a cost-effective and sustainable way. As a researcher, you will primarily help us to optimize our WiBACK solutions and to expand them for new fields of application or new transmission technologies.
Some 350 scientists are working within interdisciplinary teams on innovative solutions for current challenges in the domains of Digital Energy, Health and Sustainability as well as Human-centered Engineering & Design, Data Science & AI, Business & Information Systems Engineering, Microsimulation, and Cooperation Systems like Blockchain.

You have successfully completed your scientific university studies (Master/PhD) with a focus on computer science/computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field and bring a passion for application-oriented science. In addition, sound knowledge in one or more of the following areas is an advantage:
What you can expect
The weekly working time is 39 hours. While we are interested in a long-term cooperation, employment is initially limited to 2 years.
