Student Research Assistant (m/f/d) - for the processing of Object Tracking Algorithms in Robotics

In the research area of Automation and Robotics, robot and automation solutions are designed for industrial applications and the service sector. A particular focus is on working with robotic hands capable of handling complex assembly processes and performing a variety of tasks in different environments. Your task will be to support us in implementing this vision with your ideas and commitment. You will work intensively on the development and integration of automation solutions with robotic hands that are capable of performing precise and versatile tasks.

 

What you will do

  • Familiarization with existing object tracking algorithms
  • Testing and possibly extending these algorithms
  • Integration of the algorithms into the existing robot software stack
  • Preparation of the tracked information using sensor fusion

 

What you bring to the table

  • High motivation and enthusiasm for the field of robotics
  • Good programming skills in Python
  • Experience in programming under Linux
  • Experience with ROS/ROS2
  • Knowledge of C++ is desirable
