Research assistant: (Process) heat supply through alternative energy sources

Do you want to contribute to the success of the energy and heat transition? We are working on solutions for the provision of (process) heat using alternative, non-fossil energy sources such as biomass, ammonia, hydrogen or electricity.

What you will do

  • Diverse and varied activities as part of the processing and management of projects in the fields of bioenergy, combustion technology and CO2-neutral process heat with a focus on high-temperature applications
  • Construction, optimization and testing of plants in the pilot plant and in the field
  • Development of models for calculation and design
  • Solution approaches for process integration and evaluation of the application
  • Preparation of publications and presentation
  • Coordination with partners and stakeholders from industry and research

 

What you bring to the table

  • Completed studies in process engineering, environmental process engineering, energy technology, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field
  • Enthusiasm for our topics
  • Interest in a varied subject area with a wide range of challenges from planning and conceptualization, design and implementation to tests on a prototype in the technical center
  • The will to continuously expand your professional and personal experience and the willingness to present your results internally and externally in presentations and publications
  • Strong independent and conscientious way of working, ability to work in a team, quick comprehension
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
