Thesis (B/M): Process optimization in pyrolysis: biochar production for soil substrates

What you will do

  • Researching literature on the properties, application potential and production possibilities of various carbonisates 
  • Carrying out tests on existing pyrolysis plants including optimization of the process parameters
  • Analyzing the resulting products in the laboratory using various analysis techniques such as elemental analysis, particle size analysis, X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy and much more 
  • Summary and evaluation of the results obtained

 

What you bring to the table

must have:

  • Degree in engineering or natural sciences (e.g. mechanical engineering, energy technology, bio- and environmental process engineering, environmental technology, chemistry, materials science or similar) 
     

nice to have:

  • Previous experience of working in a laboratory and with technical equipment

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
