Scientific Researcher Digital Medicine (f/m/d) / Aachen

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 800 employees work with an annual research budget of 3.0 billion euros.

Fraunhofer MEVIS is a world-leading and internationally networked research and development center for computer support in digital medicine. It pursues a patient-centered approach tailored to clinical workflows to solve clinically relevant issues in image- and data-based diagnosis and therapy.
The area of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) plays a central role at Fraunhofer MEVIS with various projects focusing on mid- to high-field applications. However, low-field MRI has been an aspiring research field in the last years and offers immense potential. In the scope of the DeLoRI (Dedicated Low-field MRI for breast) project, a compact and portable low-field MRI device is developed for dedicated breast imaging and cancer screening.
